LexiLine Journal #206 - 2003 : Ifri N'Ammar Afso (Afsou) Morocco Rock Drawing Decipherment

Welcome!

.

A German Archaeology Magazine to which I subscribe called Archäologie
(published by Konrad Theiss Verlag GmbH, Postfach 104827, 70042
Stuttgart) has an article in its March-April issue on a joint German-Moroccan
archaeology project at the site of Ifri N'ammar, Afso (Afsou) commune, Nador
province, Rif, northern Morocco.

See in German
http://www.archaeologie-online.de/magazin/fundpunkt/eiwanger/rif.php
See in English
http://www.arabicnews.com/ansub/Daily/Day/020420/2002042037.html
and for information on Moroccans in a historical context see
http://www.morocco.com/forums/showthread.php3?threadid=3230&pagenumber=1

Although all the attention has been given to human remains found at
this site, the archaeologists have completely overlooked the carved rocks
outside and inside the cave on the Rif which is pictured in Archäologie magazine at
page 15.

I have discovered these rock drawings and deciphered them in an
uploaded file
ifrinammar.gif
which I have uploaded to our Africa directory at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/

showing that the OUTSIDE of the cave marks the stars from
the head of Hydra to Aquila in a mirror-reversed order
so that this marks the stars along the ecliptic at the inside
thinner part of the Milky Way.

and the inside of the cave has clear figures carved on the wall
which in turn marks the stars along the ecliptic at the inner
thicker part of the Milky Way.

These are
an elephant at Perseus
an owl at Cassiopeia
a human figure (female) with a head at Cepheus
and legs at the break in the Milky Way at Cygnus
and more figures above that to the right which might mark
Hercules and Ophiuchus, but I am not sure about those.

If the entrance to the cave marks the Summer Solstice, then these
rock drawings date also to ca. 3117 BC in spite of the fact that the human remains
found there are being dated to a much earlier date by the archaeologists.

LexiLine Journal #205 - 2003 : Palenque Temple of Inscriptions and Astronomy

Welcome!

.

There is a recent article entitled
Lore Among the Ruins
by TIM WEINER correspondent in Mexico City for The N.Y. Times
at
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/04/27/travel/27maya.html?tntemail0
which contains a photo of
The Temple of Inscriptions in Palenque, Mexico
by Sarah Martone for The New York Times

Look now not to the Temple but to the stone in that online photo at
the right (part of a wall?, but clearly inscribed and based on the style it is
very old, perhaps an ancient megalith reused in a wall )

Do you see the face - looking right - plus the torso below
clearly carved into the side of this rock?
What about the serpent?

And there are of course cupmarks....

As I show at the file

palenque.gif

which is now uploaded to our Meso-America South America directory
at the LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/
this stone has quite a few figures carved upon it which together
with the cupmarks on it shows the line of the Spring Solstice ca.
3117 BC as a snake-type of figure winding upwards toward Camelopardalis,
a cat-like figure (jaguar) as Orion along the right side of which
this line winds as well as VERY CLEAR cupmarks for Gemini and perhaps markings for
Canis Minor, Canis Major, Taurus, Auriga, Perseus and the Pleiades.

Delightful megalithic art - surely Neolithic Era - from Palenque

See for yourself and look at the photo online at

LexiLine Journal #204 - 2003 : Kanayama Megaliths Japan mark Cygnus by Astronomy

Welcome!

.

The Kanayama megaliths of Japan represent the stars of Cygnus.

The head of Cygnus is shown by a carved megalith which all observers
have recognized as having a large eye, without however knowing what
it represented. Of course, this megalith marks the head of the goose
of Cygnus, just as Cygnus is marked by a goose in the United Kingdom
at e.g. the Kings Stone at the Rollright Stones.

The linguistic root of KANA-yama would also appear to be related to
two terms for goose or geese in Japanese, namely "Indo-GAN"
for "goose" and "Koku-GAN" for "brant, a type of wild geese" from
which we can surmise that KANA originally´was GAN = Goose as in
German "GANs" meaning "goose".

I have uploaded

kanayama.gif

to our Japan directory at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/Japan/

showing the megalith which represents the head of the goose.

In this connection,
since the most famous of all Tokyo temples, Senjo-ji, Asakusa,
was originally called KAN-NON-SAMA, we can surmise that this temple
or its predecessor (based on its name KAN-) also represented a part
of the goose (GAN) originally, and in fact marked the stars we call
Delphinus today.

Indeed, this is the correct geodetic and astronomical location for
certain anatomical details of the heavenly goose which are also
called kannonsama in Japanese.

LexiLine Journal #203 - 2003 : Ishibutai Asuka Japan marks Cassiopeia (Cepheus?)

Welcome!

.

I have uploaded the file

ishibutai.gif

to the Japan files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/Japan/

showing how this gigantic dolmen,

(the largest so-called "corridor tomb" in Japan,
so-called because it is so large that one can walk within it)

marks the brightest star in Cassiopeia,
the star Shedar
also called Schebar - whence Ishibutai ? i.e. ca-SSIOPEIA) -
in the goedetic survey.

I think the major stones of this dolmen represent the five major
stars of Cassiopeia (though I have also considered whether these
stones might mark the five major stars of Cepheus).

Since ishi- means stone in Japanese, then the root here might
be "butai", which means "foundation, stage", perhaps a case for
Cepheus. However, since ishi- is usually put at the end of terms to
mean "stone", the ishi here might not mean stone at all originally
and Ishibutai might be a variant of Schebar, the alpha star of
Cassiopeia, which it appears to mark.

Hence, although the stars of Cepheus were also considered, I have
opted for Cassiopeia due to the Cassiopeia-shape formed by the
location of sites on the ground at Asuka - see asukamap.gif - site
locations which appear clearly to mark Cassiopeia.

LexiLine Journal #202 - 2003 : Asukadera Japan Megalithic Temple Marks Cepheus Cygnus Ursa Minor

Welcome!

.

I have uploaded the file

asukadera.gif

to our Japan directory at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/Japan/

Asukadera Temple (Genkoji Temple) is regarded to be the place of the
start of Buddhism in Japan and dates only back to about the 7th
century, so it is not very old, but its groundplan appears to relate
to an older pantheon, since that groundplan clearly marks the stars
of Cepheus, and apparently also Cygnus and Ursa Minor.

LexiLine Journal #201 - 2003 : Asuka Japan Map Megaliths Temples Cepheus Cassiopeia

Welcome!

.

To our Japan directory at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/Japan/

I have added the file

asuka.map

showing a map of the megalithic and temple sites at Asuka, south of
Nara and Kyoto.

The term Nara in Japanese I am sure has the same origin as Arabic
Nahr and Hebrew Nhar di Nur for the Milky Way. The current Chinese
and Japanese term for the Milky way Tien Ho is similar to Lithuanian
Dangus but meaning "heaven", i.e. it did not originally mean Milky
Way.

The Milky Way from Perseus to Cepheus was anciently seen as a monkey
by other cultures (see our Italy files), and also in Japan at the
Saru-ishi, the "Monkey Rock" (ishi means rock in Japanese).

To its right of Saru-ishi is Kame-ishi "Turtle Rock" (holding the
heaven up on its back and battling the Serpent of Draco) and
Sakafune-ishi "Sake-Vat Rock", a hollowed out rock, which I decipher
as marking the center of heaven at Cepheus and showing the "origin
of the flow" of the Milky Way, in ancient times apparently
demonstrated by flowing water on stones.

The Sakafune-ishi megalith (over 5 meters long) at Asuka shows a
kind of "water wheel" concentrated at Cepheus to mark the Milky
Way.

Mizuochi (Mizu-ishi) would seem to mark the Pole Star and according
to Nihon Shoki (The Chronicles of Japan) these ruins were the
first "clock" (rokoku) made in Japan by Nakano-oene-Oji in
legendary times. Of course, this clock was astronomical in nature.

The sites of Asuka at Saru-ishi (monkey), Takamatsuzuka, Kame-ishi
(Tortoise or Turtle), Oka and Ishibutai Dolmen would also appear to
mark the stars of Cassiopeia, known in ancient China as the Five
Emperors.

LexiLine Journal #200 - 2003 : Asuka Honshu Japan Ancient Megalithic Survey by Astronomy

Welcome!

.

The four large major islands of Japan are
- starting from the southwest -
Kyushu, Shikoku, Honshu and Hokkaido.

Asuka is on Honshu, south of Kyoto and Nara.

The large horizontal megalith at Asuka which I have uploaded to
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/Japan/
as
asukahzn.gif (hzn stands for horizontal)
shows the astronomical survey of Honshu,
the largest of the large islands which make of the bulk of Japan.

On Honshu, Awonadake to the West marks Gemini and is perhaps related
to the Japanese term Futago for Gemini, i.e.
Awon-DAKE compared lexically to fu-TAGO.

East of that on Honshu is the site Yamaguchi as marking Auriga,
with the GUCHI in Yamaguchi equivalent to GYOSHA
which is "Auriga" in Japanese.

Nara, Kyoto and Asuka on Honshu mark stars at the center of Heaven,
including Cepheus and Cassiopeia.

Kanayama marks Cygnus. More on this in a coming e-mail.

Tokyo (Senso-ji, Kan-non-sama, Asukusa) marks Delphinus under
the "goose" which is found at KANAyama = linguistically GAN viz. KAN.

AKITA marks Sagittarius and indeed the ancient Japanese word for
Sagittarius was KIT, perhaps related to Japanese ITE "archer".

The horizontal megalith of Asuka (asukahzn.gif) was the first
megalith that I deciphered for Japan and it gave me the key for the
decipherment of the remainder of Japan.

LexiLine Journal #199 - 2003 : Megaliths of Japan Deciphered

Welcome!

.

One of the quite obvious proofs that the Neolithic geodetic survey
by astronomy as made my the megalithic peoples ca. 3117 BC actually
took place as I have alleged, is the fact that there ARE megaliths
in Japan - in JAPAN ! - dating to the comparable period as those in
Europe, the Mediterranean, etc. This is not just "technology tomb
transfer" from Korea or China, as some mainstream scholars have
alleged, but is part of the worldwide survey of the world made by
ancient seafarers.

I have thus established a new JAPAN directory in our LexiLine files
to which I will be uploading new decipherments.

The first file uploaded to the Japan directory in
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/Japan/
is
japanmp1.gif

showing a map of Japan with the deciphered megalithic and temple
sites (the "temple" sites are more recent, surely being placed on
older megalithic sites, much as churches in Europe were often placed
over older "megalithic" sites).

Please note that due to a lack of sufficient materials available to
me - my Japanese language skills are still very limited - a number
of my decipherments are still very speculative due to a lack of a
specific megalithic site proving my identification of a particular
region with the appropriate astronomy.

Nevertheless, the role of the central region of the megalithic
survey - Asuka, Nara and Kyoto - as marking the center of the
heavens around Cepheus and Cassiopeia is quite clear and not open to
doubt. Indeed, the astronomy connection has long ago been alleged
for Kyoto e.g. by others as well, though they have not understood
that it was part of a larger geodetic survey by astronomy in ancient
days.

LexiLine Journal #198 - 2003 : The Etruscans and Recent Research

Welcome!

.

The following New York Times article

http://www.nytimes.com/2003/04/15/science/15ETRU.html?tntemail0

outlines some recent progress
made by mainstream archaeology in Etruscan research, confirming the
Baltic-Scandinavian connection to Italy that I long ago alleged - I was the
first to do so - in my decipherment of the Etruscan Bronze Liver of
Piacenza as found at
http://www.lexiline.com/lexiline/lexi8.htm

The idea that the common Etruscan name Lars came from the Etruscans
to Scandinavia is of course still not right, it is the other way
around, but at least now the mainstream scholars have seen the
connection.

LexiLine Journal #197C - 2003 : Mainstream Archaeology - A Bungler's Paradise

Welcome!

.

The failings of mainstream archaeology are filling the news due to
the curious but in my opinion expectable ransacking of Iraq's museum
by apparently knowledgeable insiders. The whole profession of
mainstream archaeology seems to be filled with fortune hunters -
what else should you expect? I have not yet met anyone from
mainstream archaeology that I would call a serious and sincere
researcher into the actual history of mankind - though I am sure
they must exist, somewhere - but this appears to be a profession for
people looking to fill their museums or safes with valuable goods or
to pad their reputations by writing what is expected of them by the
masses or by the prevailing political systems.
The history is secondary.

Recently, the - in my opinion - falsely dated rock art in the
Chauvet Cave in France (and thus also all of the French caves)
has come under deserved scrutiny at:

"Doubt cast on age of oldest human art
Exclusive from New Scientist Print Edition"
http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99993631

This article indicates that only one apparently self-serving French
institute has actually dated the art - and has done this so
continuously over the years to 30,000 BC - whereas an apparently
objective institute has said the radiocarbon data show dates at the
oldest
to 15000 BC.

That is quite a discrepancy.
15000 years!

This kind of thing is rampant in this discipline which appears to be
populated more by soldiers of fortune than by people actually
interested in the history of civilization.

In fact, as a matter of logic, the odds that this art was created in
30000 BC is ZERO.

If one claims that something as sophisticated as Chauvet Cave Rock
Art existed in 30000 BC, then the art and artists can not just
disappear, and we would expect to find this art continued and
improved over the millennia - yet, the mainstream would have us
believe that this great art appeared in 30000 BC and then for 15000
years nothing happened - the art and artists disappeared.

This kind of science is absolute rubbish by incompetents and
bunglers and frankly, I get tired of reading it.

But let me close on a happy note.

HAPPY EASTER !

Recall, as a matter of astronomy (rather than religion), Easter
always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the
Spring Equinox.

UPDATE, April 20, 2003

Most interesting concerning the lost or destroyed treasures of Iraq is the
following article from the New York time:
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/04/20/weekinreview/20GOOD.html?tntemail0

in which it is noted that many of the Sippar cuneiform tablets
viewed by the mainstream archaeologist already in the 1980's
are STILL neither published or deciphered. What incredible
sloppiness and non-science on the part of mainstream archaeology, in
a digital age, when these could long ago have been photographed and
made available to the world.

Let me say that this is the rule rather than the exception in
archaeology, where finds are hoarded and coveted and kept from the
public eye by their owners, until they can decipher and publish them
for the glory of THEIR reputations and pocketbooks, so that, even
when published, compilations are offered at horrendous prices not
payable by the ordinary man - I need think here only of the Luwian
Hittite hieroglyphs which are available at over $500 per book.

Recall here also the history of the Turin Canon (Turin Papyrus
roll), the major chronological document for the history of Pharaonic
Egypt, which when found was in great condition, but then was put
away in a drawer by a selfish archaeologist who wanted the
decipherment to be HIS personal work.

The result was that he never deciphered it and when the papyrus was
later found in a drawer, the papyrus fell into thousand pieces and
had to be repasted - indeed, as I claim - repasted in part
erroneously. Greed - both academic and pecuniary - is the name of
the game in this profession.

The only reason that it pays for ancient artifacts to be stolen, is
because there is a market out there for them in the archaeology
world, mainstream museums definitely included. Museums buy what they
can get - and care little about the sources. Hoarding is the rule.
Science is secondary. Nine-tenths of the holdings of the British
Museum are underground, have never been seen by the public and are
in part unrecorded and unexamined. It is what I call archaeological
gluttony.

And who then publishes gprofit-making books on the
holdings of these museums? Obviously these are the curators and similar
people, for example those responsible for the pyramids.

Profit is made at every turn and it is not accurate science which is sold but
rather often erroneous mainstream interpretation of the artefacts which makes a buck.

If you think I am wrong, look at the New York Times article. The
goods that WERE brought to safety out of the exhibition in Iraq's
museum were not those of greatest value for the history of
civilization but those made of precious metals - GOLD, SILVER and
JEWELS. These were saved.

The truly irreplacable historical pieces - if merely of stone or
mud - were left to the wolves.

Frankly, I would - if I had the power -
throw out many mainstream archaeologists and curators
out of their temples,
much like Jesus threw out the money-changers.
Many of them deserve no better.

Happy Easter.

LexiLine Journal #197B - 2003 : Imhotep Benjamin Djoser Joseph Hieroglyphs

Welcome!

In a message dated 4/15/2003 10:25:57 AM Eastern Standard Time,
Betty Rhodes ... writes:

> Andis,
> A question for you - on your page
>http://www.lexiline.com/lexiline/lexi95.htm.

>Re: the weights and measures chart depicting 28 'dieties' -
>I was wondering if # 11 could be Imhotep where the 'Imset'
>is listed - could these two be the same character?

> Thanks,
> Betty Rhodes

The following is my answer:

In my opinion, the correct reading for Im-hotep is BEN-JA-MIN
(Latvian Vadiba = Hotep, which means "government")

IM-hotep is written with the Owl "MN" symbol (= Latvian MANS "spook,
ghost", long a) whereas the hieroglyph IM-set is written with the symbol for
measure which is "MR" (Latvian MER "measure", long e),
so these characgters in my opinion are not related.

If IM-hotep were found on the royal cubit this could only be related
to symbol 21 which is now translated by the Egyptologists as HAK,
but that symbol could also be related to the term IM-IUT (i.e.
similar to IM-HOTEP), which, according to the British Museum
Dictionary of Ancient Egypt, page 140, was a "fetish symbol
consisting of the stuffed, headless skin of an animal (often a
feline) tied to a pole which was mounted in a pot." (i.e. a ghost)

On the royal cubit, symbol Nr. 21 is the sign of MIN, i.e. also "MN"
(compare MIN to the MAN of the OWL symbol),
and thus used as a homophonic (same-sounding) substitute symbol.

This may confirm my original analysis many years ago that Im-hotep
was BEN-JA-MIN, but NOT Joseph,
for Joseph was then probably DJOSER, i.e. DJOSEr = DJOSEph

As I write at
http://www.lexiline.com/lexiline/lexi95.htm
in comparing Chinese and Pharaonic symbols and astronomy:

"Chinese 22 CHING "well" and Chinese 23 KUEI "ghost"
are Pharaonic 21 HAK

22 CHING "well" defines this constellation's shape well, i.e.
Gemini, as a thin deep well rather than twins. Now, we have sa-KIN-
KIN at this position on the Abydos Palette of Cities and the Latvian
term for "well (of water) is AKA whence Pharaonic HAK,
and whence later Latin AQUA, from this source of water.

22 and 23 will be the "large twins" and the "small twins" as found
on the MUL.APIN tablets as well.

Nr. 21 marks the twins GE-MINi in an astronomical context and is a
mark of "MIN" which was a male phallic symbol taking its name from
the twins of this anatomy.

LexiLine Journal #197A - 2003 : So Many Abrahams and Sarahs

Welcome!

.

The e-mail below was sent to me by one of our members, Betty Rhodes,
raising the issue of the identity of Abraham in varous cultures.
Since Latvian PIRM- means "first", I think we will find the letter
grouping BRM or PRM in various proper names in the Middle East and
standing for the "first patriarch". Indeed, I have often claimed in
the past, e.g., that HAMMURABI is just a backward misreading by the
Orientalists of ABRAHAM.

Also the name of Abraham's wife SARAI has its comparable in Latvian
SIEVA "wife", which we find in many cultures worldwide, just think
of American Indian SQUAW. The term "wife" resulted from the loss of
the initial S in SIEVA, i.e. IEVA, EVA, EVE, "wife".

Hence, without going into her assignment of significance to the
letter "h" - with which I disagree - I think Betty's recognition of
the connection between these terms in various cultures is valid.

Wanted to tell you about the different Abrahams I've found - and
they all had a Sarai.

So Many Abrahams

Abram to Abraham
Brama to Brahma
Abriman to Ahriman
Abarama to Ahriman

Abraham's name was once a shorter version - 'Abram', but later during
his life 'Abram', the name, was extended by adding 'ha' and he became
Abraham. 'Abram', the name, means 'lifted up', or 'exalted'. Abram
represents the Holy of Holies i.e. the 'Debir' - the highest part of
one's existence, as humanly possible. The top of the pyramid, so to
speak.

Abraham's story is not unique to the Hebrew Scriptures, for we find
in India they had a Hindu Brama who was the Hindu Creator, or father
of his people. Later the Hundus added an 'h' to his name making
it 'Brahma', as we see an 'h' was added to 'Abram', making it
Abraham.

In Persia the name of their prophet was originally 'Abriman, who
also acquired an 'h' and became Ahriman. The Babylonians also had
their Abraham - spelled 'Abarama'.

The Hebrew Abraham took a wife, Sarai, to which an 'h' was added to
make her name 'Sarah'. The Brahma wife was 'Shri'. If you take the
vowels out of Sarai and add an 'h', you have one and the same
Hebrew/Brahma - 'Shri'.

The letter 'h' signifies life force (ulam i.e. lower animal part of
man's existence), and had to be added to the essence of their
existence in order to create the cycle of life.

In the beginning Abram was the ideal of our highest possible self,
but in order to become the father of nations, in order to pass on
the order of evolution, he had to become one with the lower
self arena. In so doing, Abraham became the father of many nations,
no matter which culture or religion you chose to view the coded
message.

When Abraham made the sincere attempt to offer up his 'lower self'
(portrayed as his son, Isaac), he was once again returned to God in
the 'lifted up' i.e. highest self realm of existence, or
evolutionary scale.

LexiLine Journal #197 - 2003 : Oldest Pharaonic Mummy - End of Sarcophagus Deciphered as Astronomy

Welcome!

.

I am uploading sakkara1.gif and sakkara2.gif to our files on Egypt.
These files involve my decipherment of a sarcophagus just found in
Egypt holding the allegedly oldest Pharaonic mummy ever discovered.

I today read on the Netscape home-page popup "Look what they found
in Egypt" as follows:

"The just-discovered cedar wood Egyptian coffin is 5,000 years old,
dating to sometime between 3100 and 2890 B.C. When archaeologists
opened it earlier this week, they found a skeleton inside. What
makes this skeleton special is that it provides the oldest evidence
yet of human mummification in Egypt, report Reuters and the BBC News
Online.

Found in the desert near the Sakkara pyramids near Cairo, the coffin
was in one of more than 20 tombs made of mud and brink. The pile of
bones inside it was covered with skin and resin, an ingredient in
the mummification process. It is believed to be the skeleton of one
of the officials under Egypt's 1st Dynasty. "We found more than 20
tombs built of mud bricks in this area and inside these tombs we
found sarcophagi intact for the first time, completely enclosed in
mud brick," Dr. Zahi Hawass, head of the Egyptian Supreme Council of
Antiquities, told the BBC. "When I opened this mud brick up, I found
the oldest mummy inside. The mummy has been dated as being some
5,000 years old, and this mummy was covered completely with linen
when we found it." Hawass said excavations are continuing to learn
more about the tombs of the officials who ruled Egypt under the
kings of the 1st Dynasty."

You can see 5 photos of the find at
http://channels.netscape.com/ns/news/photosearch.jsp?
∩=sakkara+mummy&floc=ns-wnew

What is remarkable is that everyone is concentrating on the mummy -
dated to the start of Egyptian Civilization ca. 3000 BC which
relates well to our megalithic calendric starting date of 3117 BC.
Of course, a mummy of this great age IS spectacular.

But what about the cedar coffin?

Everyone has ignored the coffin - and so I find this illustrative of
the blindness rampant in mainstream research. The most obvious
things are not seen by the archaeologists because they are always
concentrating on bones and pots and not paying enough attention to
the wealth of other information which is at their fingertips.

I looked at the photos of the coffin and found clearly that the one
end shown in the photos is carved with figures - well visible when
enlarged using Paint Shop Pro 7, carvings which apparently were
originally painted over in color. Outlines are still visible - and I
have been able - quite easily - to decipher this one end of the
coffin. You will be able to judge this for yourself when you see the
uploaded files. Pictured are the stars of Orion, Taurus, Perseus,
Andromeda, Triangulum and Aries, Cassiopeia, Cepheus, Pegasus and
Aquarius.

Also visible - in my opinion - but this is VERY SPECULATIVE - are
remnants of carved symbols which are nearly identical to those used
on the Phaistos Disc - confirming my original suspicion that the
Phaistos Disc dates clear back to ca. 3117 BC for its original
symbols (the actual disk at Phaistos may be a younger copy of more
ancient sources - or - it has been falsely dated to the 2nd
millennium rather than the 3rd or 4th millenium).

Using my syllabic values for these symbols,
see http://www.lexiline.com/lexiline/lexi3.htm
it would seem that these represent a goat (horn) as Cepheus plus an
axe symbol, a twine symbol, and an angle symbol and that the symbols
read GA-PO-TEI-NW which is Latvian KAPOTNE "summit", i.e. the horn
or summit of the Milky Way. The angle symbol is quite clear - but it
could also just be decoration if such angle symbols go all around
the sarcophagus. This I can not tell from the available photos.

You can see the original Reuters photo online at

The name AIN is speculatively related to Indo-European IGNIS

That ends the decipherment of France for the time being.

I have uploaded the file

stsamson.gif

showing this to represent the stars of Serpens Cauda marking a line
calculation to the Autumn Equinox point ca. 3117 BC. There is an
actual carving of an angled line on the megalith.

I have uploaded the file

riom.gif

showing the Menhir du stade de la Varenne in Riom, above Clermont-
Ferrand in Auvergne, marks the top stars of Gemini, Pollux and
CAstor. There is also a horizontal figure carved at the bottom of
the well of Gemini.

LexiLine Journal #192 - 2003 : Pays de la Loire Vendée Pierre Qui Vire Virgo France Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

quivire.gif

shwoing that the megalith Pierre-Qui-Vire in Vendée, Pays de la
Loire near Longeville-sur-Mer and Les Sables-d'Olonne, and known
as "The Twisting Stone", marks Virgo.

Indeed qui-VIRE may retain an ancient name similar to VIRGO.
The name of the region Vendée may be related the ancient name
VINDEmator, as an ancient name for VIRGO.

showing that this dolmen possibly marks many stars below Orion and
Eridanus and specifically represents Lupus and Columba positionally
in the French geodetic survey in the Neolithic era.

LexiLine Journal #189 - 2003 : Brittany Portsall Finistère Guiligui Stinger Extension of Scorpio France Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

I have uploaded the file

portsall.gif

showing that Portsall represents the end stars of the stinger of
Scorpio at lambda-Scorpii and upsilon-Scorpii and the stars beyond
them. Also marked are the stars iota and kappa in Scorpio.

PortSALL might take its name from the star SHAULA at the stinger of
Scorpio.

LexiLine Journal #188 - 2003 : Picardy Oise Boubiers Fayel Cygnus France Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

oise.gif

which shows that the Menhir du Fayel in Boubiers, Oise, Picardy,
France represents Cygnus as the upward raised head of a goose, just
as this is also the case at the Kings Stone at the Rollright Stones
in Ancient Britain.

Linguistically there are also two excellent matches,
since French volaille = fowl = Fayel
and since the French region OISE is as French Oiseau "bird" and
OI "goose", the bird which this megalith in fact represents.

LexiLine Journal #187 - 2003 : Alsace Mont St. Odile Pagans Wall Aquarius France Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

odile.gif

which shows the decipherment of the site Mont St. Odile
as marking the stars of Aquarius in the French geodetic system. This
resolves once and for all the original ownership question concerning
Alsace and Lorraine, which belonged to France and not to Germany in
the Neolithic period, when the original borders of Europe were
marked. Many senseless and bloody wars were fought over this ground
historically - for nothing, and out of ignorance - for the megaliths
always had the right answer ready - but stood there silently at
watch at the follies of mankind.

Linguistically, ODILE is the same as Arabic Al DALW which was the
ancient name for the "bucket of Aquarius".

I have uploaded the file

neaufles.gif

showing that the Menhir in Neaufles-Auvergny in Normandy known as
Gargantua marks the stars of Hercules. I think the figure looks like
a chipmunk, but if hard pressed, you might see a bear, which it may
have originally designated - and as we also find for Hercules in the
megaliths of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

maniotwo.gif

which shows the Menhir of Manio II to mark the North Celestial Pole
in the Carnac Planisphere.

I have not pictured the larger and more famous Manio One (Giant
Manio) which is a clear phallic symbol - as at Filitosa in Corsica -
and marks the North Ecliptic Pole - as at Corsica. Manio is the same
as Ancient Pharaonic Egyptian Min. We even retain this in English
as "Man".

I have uploaded the file

lanvenael.gif

a menhir near Beuzec and Pont-l'-Abbé in Brittany marking the Front

I have uploaded the file

kermario.gif

which as the Kermario Dolmen marks Ursa Major in a clearly Big
Dipper shaped dolmen, whereas the Kermario stone alignments mark the
stars in the tail of Draco - leading to the North Ecliptic Pole at
the Giant Manio Menhir.

LexiLine Journal #180 - 2003 : Brittany Finistère Kerloas Plouarzel Saint-Renan End Stars of Scorpio France Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

kerloas.gif

which in the geodetic survey of France marks the end stars of
Scorpio on the Menhir of Kerloas at Plouarzel west of Saint-Renan.
Perhaps KER-LOAS is linguistically related to the name of the star
LESath in Scorpio which marks the "sting". Speculatively, the place
name PLOU-AR-ZEL may be related to the term SHAULA (as ZEL), which
is the star lambda in Scorpio meaning "the sting where it lies".

The Kerloas menhir is one of the two largest in Brittany (the other
is Dol de Bretagne, i.e. Champ Dolent) both being between 9 and 10
meters in heigth, depending on the source. It is in any case one of
the tallest menhirs in France. Note that the sting in the United
Kingdom geodetic survey was also marked by an extremely tall
megalith.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

kerlescan.gif

which marks Cepheus in the smaller Carnac planisphere.

The name Kerlescan obviously derives from KER ("house") plus LE
plus SCAN which is similar to the ancient Arabic transcription
KANkaus for Cepheus (see Richard Hinckley Allen, Star Names, p. 156)
and also Arabic SAN for Cepheus (p. 157).

I have uploaded the file

kerioned.gif

which is the group of Kerioned Dolmens marking Serpens Cauda and
Ophiuchus in the smaller Carnac planisphere.

Remember to keep the geoedetic survey of France separate from the
small separate planisphere found at Carnac-Locmariaquer-Morbihan-
Gavrinis.

I have uploaded the file

kerguntuil.gif

showing the decipherment of a cupmarked megalíth at Kerguntuil near
Tregastel and Perros-Guirec in Brittany (somewhat north of the
Lannion site - see Brittany map) as representing the stars of
Serpens Cauda, with the stars beta and gamma in Ophiuchus marked
below them.

I have uploaded the file

kercado.gif

which is the Kercado Dolmen which marks the front of Ursa Major and
Ursa Minor in the smaller planisphere formed at Carnac and has a
menhir to the back of it marking the North Celestial Pole.

LexiLine Journal #175 - 2003 : Brittany Finistère Huelgoat Rouler Kerampaulven Ophiuchus France Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/
I have uploaded the file

huelgoat.gif

showing that the Menhir of Kerampaulven represents the star Han
(zeta-Ophiuchii) and three stars above it at upsilon-Ophiuchii.

The giant horizontal megalith known as the ROULER OF HUELGOAT was
carefully balanced like a scale by the ancients and can still be
moved back and forth somewhat today even though it weighs ca. 100
tons. This stone of course marked the balance of the Equinoxes at
this point of the Autumn Equinox ca. 3117 BC (or perhaps a couple of
hundred years earlier) and the stone thus was made and placed to
show this heavenly balance. Similar balanced stones elsewhere at
other megalithic sites will surely have served similar astronomical
functions.

LexiLine Journal #174 - 2003 : Grand Menhir Brise Morbihan Hydra Locmariaquer France Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

grandmenhir.gif

showing that

these gigantic stones, weighing ca. 280 tons total,
marked the constellation of Hydra in the smaller Carnac-Morbihan-
Locmariaquer sky planisphere.

The mainstream archaeologists have completely erred in thinking this
alleged menhir was once a single piece 20 meters tall, which had
fallen and broken into four parts - an absurd idea for stones this
size and given the manner in which they lay on the ground -
physically impossible.

Quite the contrary, these giant stones were placed horizontally and
in part at substantial angles to one another quite intentionally by
the ancients to mark the stars of Hydra, the sea serpent. That is
why the largest of the stones is not flat to the earth but has one
end substantially raised up, to signify Hydra's head. This
corresponds to what we find in the United Kingdom, where similar
stone formations marking Hydra are thought to be "broken" stones,
but were in fact placed that way originally by the ancients to show
Hydra as a serpent.

The nearby megalithic sites of Table des Marchands and Pierres Plats
fit into this picture, Pierres Plats showing more of Hydra and the
Table des Marchands marking a path to Hydra's head which points
toward the Summer Solstice point ca. 3117 BC.

I have uploaded the file

counozouls.gif

showing that the Menhir of Counozouls, Languedoc Roussillon,
the second tallest menhir in France at ca. 9 meters tall,
marks the brightest star in the heavens, Sirius in Canis Major.
The constellation is marked by an elongated cross-type of object.

showing that the dolmen Mougau Bihan of Commana in Brittany marks
the star theta-Ophiuchii and the stars around it.

LexiLine Journal #169 - 2003 : Brittany France Ille et Vilaine Champ-Dolent Dol de Bretagne Serpens Cauda Ophiuchus Cebalrai Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

.

To the France directory of our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

champdolent.gif

showing that this gigantic menhir (ca. 9 and 1/2 meters) tall
ca. west of Mont St. Michel marks the upper end of Serpens Cauda and
also marks the stars of Ophiuchus around Cebalrai as the head of the
Serpent Bearer. The row of Serpens Cauda marked the Autumn Equinox
point below this row and thus was seen as important by the ancients.

I have uploaded the file

burgundy.gif

showing my drawn map of the megalithic sites in Saone-et-Loire (as
based on a site map in http://www.chez.com/diviciacos/Frames.html).

This map clearly shows that these megalithic sites were placed to
mark the stars of Perseus, so that the name of BURgundy, i.e. French
BOURgogne, may be related linguistically to PERseus.

LexiLine Journal #164 - 2003 : Aquitaine Gironde Bordeaux Saint Sulpice Saint-Emilion Hydra France Megalithic Decipherment

Welcome!

.

To our Lexiline files for France at

I have uploaded a new version of the file

bordeaux.gif

showing the decipherment of the megalith at Saint Sulpice south of
Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux in Aquitaine, Gironde on the Dordogne River
as Hydra.

The bordeaux.gif file has been uploaded anew since Saint Sulpice is
in the department Gironde on the Dordogne River - my orignal .gif
had simply "Dordogne" noted on it which might otherwise have been
confused with the Dordogne department further inland.

LexiLine Journal #163 - 2003 : Barnenez in Brittany Finistère Plouézoch as Serpens Cauda Ophiuchus Aquila

Welcome!

.

To the directory for France in our LexiLine files at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LexiLine/files/France/

I have uploaded the file

barnenez.gif

showing the decipherment of the fabulous terraced gigantic cairn
at the site of Barnenez in Plouézoch, Finistère, Brittany which in
architectural and construction style surely predates the later
terrace building style of the ziggurats and pyramids.

Barnenez marked the stars of Serpens Cauda, Ophiuchus and Aquila as
a giant axe-type of instrument with entrances marking stars of
Serpens Cauda and Ophiuchus and the axe-type of head marking Aquila
with one terrace per three stars at Altair. It is really quite a
brilliant very ancient hermetic representation of this portion of
the sky, marking the Autumn Equinox ca. 3117 BC along the celestial
equator - that was the reason this site was so important as to be
built in this enormous fashion.
